Dog Walker/Pet Sitter

Barksley is a professional dog walking and pet sitting business providing reliable pet care in Richmond, VA. We strive to provide outstanding customer service and develop strong bonds with the pets in our care. We are searching for a hard working, detail oriented, honest, and reliable animal lover with personal or professional experience caring for and handling dogs and cats to join our growing team.

Requirements

• Live in or around our service area

• Have midday availability during the week

• Willing to work weekends and holidays

• Have a valid driver’s license and a reliable and insured vehicle

• Must have experience with dogs and cats

• Ability and willingness to be outside in all weather, including rain, snow, heat, cold, and wind

• Be detailed oriented and able to follow instruction

• Must be reliable, able to manage time, and responsive to calls and texts

 

Qualifications

• Be 22 years of age or older

• Have a good driving record and ability to pass a background check

• Have a smartphone with access to the Internet, data plan, and high quality camera

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively by returning emails, texts, and phone calls promptly

• Ability to take and send photos of pets in your care to clients and for use on social media

• Professional experience with animals is a plus (working at a veterinary hospital, dog daycare/boarding facility, dog trainer, pet sitter or dog walker, etc)

• Experience with administering medication or fluids is a plus
